Confederate Foot Artillery Sword

Rare C.S. Artillery Short Sword, considered the Artilleryman’s last line of defense, from opposing enemy cavalryman. Excellent condition example of a rare confederate manufactured C.S. Short Artillery Sword. The definitive manufacture is still unknown, but considered to be manufactured in Texas, Alabama, Georgia or Louisiana. Hilt is of brass, very poorly cast, so much so, the C.S. in the cross guard barely identifiable. Few surviving specimens encountered today, that are in excellent condition, with accompanying original scabbards.
