The Regulations for the Army of the Confederate States, adopted in 1861 and published by authority of the Secretary of War, prescribed “For Officers of Rifleman…gilt,convex, plain with large raised letters in the centre…R  for Rifleman.” Identified as CS 201-A in Alberts reference, excellent non-excavated specimen, backmarked H T & B Manchester. 25mm.
