Manufactured in Fredericksburg,Virginia at “Catherines&146;s Furnace” by Charles Wellford and delivered to Richmond as early as mid-1861 to individual Confederate vessels. Rarely are these weapons encountered in such pristine condition. This rare example is accompanied with it&146;s original leather scabbard and integrally sewn canvas & leather frog.
